Because Seeing Wet Cats Make Me Smile . . .

Here's a video to add a little smile to your upcoming weekend.

"Cat's That Love Baths" by GreaterGoodNetwork

And now I really want to see what The Olaf Cat looks like wet.  He goes to the pet groomer once a month, so I've never seen him smothered in water, but suddenly I secretly want to see if I could get him to take a bath.  Would he hate me forever?  Do I dare try!!??  Heh, happy thoughts.

The Olaf Cat Goes on a Walk

Well, heh, it was more of a kitty adventure exploring the outdoors.

Olaf is an indoor cat, so he doesn't get out much.

But did you know you can train a cat to go on walks on a leash?  Crazy, but it's a process teaching them, which we're not quite sure of, and it's good to start them young.

So the goal is to put Olaf on a leash a few times a week to get him used to it, and hopefully by Spring we can take him on walks around the park and elsewhere.

For now he's enjoying exploring the outdoors.

Be More Dog

Why be a cat when you can Be More Dog?

They have more fun, do they not?  More excitement.  More joy.  More energy.

Cat's, on the other hand, can be listless and picky.  Prone to revenge and malice.  Selective and Calculating.  Selfish.

That's the opinion of this commercial from O2, encouraging us to be dog-like in optimism and purpose.  I saw it at a leadership meeting a couple weeks back, and the whole 600+room had a good laugh over it.

It's true, really, we could all be a little more dog.

Though I like dogs, I will always prefer cats.  They're independent and don't need to be cuddled.  They come when they want to, then leave for solace.  And I like they're attitude.

The Love of Cats

"Authors like cats because they are such
quiet, lovable, wise creatures,
and cats like authors for the same reasons."

~ Robertson Davies
