Yuzen Autumn 2014 Box Review and Spoilers

Yuzen, which delivers 4 times a year, corresponding with the 4 seasons: Spring (February), Summer (May), Autumn (August), and Winter (November).  It's $33 a box, and the theme is all about bringing a little Zen to your life.  The site states, "Each box has the very best Eco-conscious products to nourish the body and soul."

"Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies."  It's mainly filled with deluxe sample sizes, which are smaller then the original size, but big enough to try and use.  Sometimes there's full size items, too!!  There were a couple full sized products this month :0)

 Always so pretty.

 The first look!

In each box they provide an info card talking about each product, why they choose it, and giving codes for future discounts if you fall in love with a product.

 Everything all laid out.

We were treated with wonderful lavender products last month, so I didn't expect to see a lavender product this month!  It smells heavenly and this product will be wonderful to try.  The website is quite inviting.

A full sized item!

This is a new product for me.  So far I really like it.  The lotion has a soft Pomegranate scent and dissolves quickly into the skin.

"This precious composition of organic pomegranate seed oil, apricot kernel oil and shea butter takes effect antioxidatively, which stimulates cell renewal and protects your skin from damaging environmental influences."

Another full size item! :0)

This isn't the first SpaRitual product I've received from Yuzen.  The Winter 2013 box came with a pretty gold glitter polish that I grew to love and used often.  I'm really excited to try this cuticle pen, designed to help promote healthy nail growth with natural ingredients.

After reading about this eye cream off their website it sounds amazing!  Another product I can't wait to try.

"Rich in anti-inflammatory Indigo, liquid Silk and Squalane, TATCHA's INDIGO Soothing Silk Hand Moisturizer Cream softens and soothes irritated skin."

This hand cream is made in Japan!  And it smells amazing and feels nice.  Love the fresh scent.

Plus it's color is indigo, which is fun.

I'm no stranger to the fruit snack, thanks to having awesomely cute nieces.  I've become quite the connoisseur!  These are tasty, and probably much healthier that what I usually consume! Heh . . .

I love this nail color!  And it claims to be 7-day chip free.  I'm excited to try this claim, as polishes tend to start chipping within 3-4 days.  Kinda annoying.  So this is nice.

Another wonderful box with great, new products to try out.

Yuzen Summer 2014 Box Review and Spoilers

 Beautiful packaging, as always.

 The reveal!

Each box comes with an info card detailing why they choose each item, and a coupon code to use if you want to order more.

 The seven items we received.

I can't believe this is full size!!  Incredible value.  I haven't tried this yet, but I really need to, because I'm curious.  And I love how it's natural.  I once won a bottle of Latisse, but choose not to try it because it can permanently stain the skin.  This will be good.

I didn't try these because they have green tea, so I gave them to my aunt.  I bet they were wonderful, though.

Hugo Naturals Handcrafted Soap, Vanilla & Sweet Orange, valued at $3.99.

"Our soaps are truly special: a hand-crafted blend of all-natural essential oils and botanical extracts that gently clean and deeply condition skin. Creamy lather and the rich scent of natural Vanilla and Sweet Orange extract create a luxurious experience in bath or shower. Proudly made in the USA by Hugo Naturals."

I love the smell of this soap, and that they use essential oils.

Shamanuti Seaweed Toner, valued at $10.

"Skin loves this delicious nutrient and mineral rich toner. It adjusts pH and refines the pores. It will nourish and hydrate the skin while removing any residual make-up or cleanser."

I'm a diehard Clinique 3 system follower, but I'm super excited to try this out.

Oh my goodness, I love, love, LOVE this!!  It smells so good, and I love the moisturizing feel it give the skin.

Another wonderful lavender product.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love lavender?  I love it.  Haven't tried this yet because I've been saving this for a special day.

Aromaflage Botanical Fragrance & Insect Repellent, valued at $4.

This sample is Soooooo Small!  Not large enough to try out, and I did, on my Idaho cabin trip, in which I was feasted upon by mosquitoes, so I turned to DEET for protection.  If I was able to get a good spritz the results may have been different.  Like the smell.

Yuzen Spring 2014 Box Review and Spoilers

I got the Yuzen Spring 2014 box last weekend!  It actually arrived on Valentines Day, which is perfect :0)  Well timed!

This is my pamper box. We all need a little zen :0)

The wrapping is always perfect and beautiful.  It just doesn't look beautiful, Yuzen smells nice, too.  Before I even unwrapped the tissue paper with the Japanese print, I could smell the candle waiting within.  This box is an experience.

Each box comes with a fold out paper that talks about each company and product selected, why it was chosen, and then a coupon code fore a nice discount if you want to buy more.  (FYI, you'll fall in love with at least a couple items.)

What greets you under the paper.

This month we received eight products from six different companies.

Acure Radical Resurfacing Facial Treatment: size received is 1 oz., valued at $14.  Full size is 1.4 oz., which is $19.99.

I've never heard of Acure, but now that I have, with some research, I'm super excited to try this product!  I've read nothing but good things about it.  This Radical Resurfacing product is a Lemon Probiotic (probiotic for the skin!) with 1% Chlorella Growth Factor.  From the website:
  • Restores balance and surface tone to skin
  • Feeds and restores cells
  • Protects against free radical damage
  • Improves skin texture and tone without photosensitivity
  • Great for all skin types
  • Paraben free, Vegan, Gluten free, Synthetic fragrance free, Silicone free, Phthalate free
  • Fair trade certified ingredients

Sumbody Bathmelt, valued at $5.50, and Sumbody Sum Fizzer, valued $5.95.

We received two Sumbody products to try out!  Besides the bubble baths I had as a kid, I've never tried bath fizzes or melts of any kind.  Heh, I'm starting to feel a little sheltered.  Both of these items smell really good, and they're generous sizes.  Good for a little R&R.

Balanced Guru Body Balm: size received 1 oz, valued at $12.  Full version is 4 oz, priced at $45.

I've already started using this body balm on my elbows, and it's working nicely.  I need to use it on my feet as well.  From the website:

"Treat your whole body with a smooth and buttery body balm. Enriched with healthy butters and an invigorating blend of essential oils that will wake up your senses and moisturize your skin without leaving it greasy or tacky. Make sure you work it well into elbows, knees and even your feet. They'll thank you later."

Lotus Wei Infinite Love Mist Mini: size received 10 ml, valued at $8.  Full size is 50 ml at $40.

I love the smell of this mist, and have already started using it.  I'm a true believer in aromatherapy, getting into it when I started collecting DoTerra essential oils.

This mist is called "Infinite Love," and uses flower oils that encourages self wellness, forgiveness, clarity in relationships, etc.  The website has the full list.  Perfect for Valentines and Spring.

Sranrom hasn't officially launched yet, so I don't know the value of these products, but it's cool that this is a new company!  Already I'm impressed.

The candle smells nice in uplifting scents, and was the first thing I noticed in the box.  I love candles, and this is a nice one.  The Calm Down lotion is a fun idea.  It's scented with Lemongrass and Kaffir lime, which "helps you tackle stressful situations with calm confidence."

Chocolate!!!!

Chocolove Cherries & Almonds in Dark Chocolate.  On the site you buy a case of 12 bars for $17.

I'm a sucker for Dark Chocolate.  Love it.  This bar has a wonderful cocoa taste with cherries and almonds.  Honestly, I went to Sees Chocolate the day after Valentines, and I preferred this chocolate.

I love this box!  Love the theme and the way Yuzen is curated.

And I love discovering new favorites.

Yuzen Winter Box Review

I subscribed to another subscription box, so now I'm at two!  (I hear sub boxes are addicting, and that's pretty much the case.)

I just subscribed to Yuzen, which delivers 4 times a year, corresponding with the 4 seasons: Spring (February), Summer (May), Autumn (August), and Winter (November).

(Which is the best :0)

I view this as my new pampering box.

The packaging is so pretty.  It feels like a gift.

 What lies within the tissue.

Lavender Chamomile Soy Candle by LEVEL.  Size received: 2 oz, travel size, valued at $6.67.  (Original size is 6 oz, valued at $19.99).  I'm so happy I got the lavender chamomile scent!  So many different scents were being sent in boxes, so the scent you receive will be a surprise.  On Make Up Talk some people mentioned getting Cedar, Forest, and Grapefruit Bergamot.

Sun Cups Mint Cups: 2 received, valued at $1.66.  Nut free and gluten free.  They're pretty good.  I would like to try the caramel cups and dark chocolate sunflower butter cups sometime.

Kerstin Florian Fuß Balm.  Sized received: 30 ml or 1.0 oz, valued at $8.  (The original size is 133 ml or 4.5 oz. for $36.)  "Menthol, rosemary, pine and lavender provide nourishing and protecting care for the feet. Softens cracked heels."  I've already started using this foot balm, and I love it.

Jurlique Rose Hand Cream.  Sized received: 15 ml or .5 oz., valued at $9.38.  (Original sizes available at 40ml for $25 and 125ml for $49.)  This hand cream smells amazing!!  It's my favorite item in the box.  I'm going to use it all up so quick.  This item received the "InStyle Hall Of Fame Winner 2013 Best Beauty Buys."  I'm not surprised.

Sanitas Moisture Mist.  Size received: 60 ml valued at $5.41  (Original size is 200 ml, valued at $18.)  This will be apart of my new morning ritual.

"Moisture Mist maximizes the delivery of active ingredients deep into the skin. Moisture Mist effectively hydrates and heals the skin in addition to enhancing the penetration and spreadability of a moisturizer."

SpaRitual Mini Nail Lacquer: Golden Rule Glitter: .17 oz, valued at $6.50.  This will look really pretty over a solid base color.

Tara Aromatherapy Stress Relief roll-on remedy.  Size received 5ml, valued at $3.17.  (Original size is 1oz for $19.)  This stress relief smells so good!  The essential oils are lavender, Red Mandarin, Rose Geranium, Pink Grapefruit, and Ylang-Ylang. The oil blend is pretty thick so you have to shake it a bit to get it working.

Jane Iredale 24-Karat Gold Dust. Full Size Product!!  $13.50.  This is so pretty and so versatile!  "Apply it to the cheeks, eyes and lips for a delicately gilded look. Mix it with a moisturizer for the décolletage; or into your favorite hair product for luminous locks!"  You can see ideas for application down below.

Pino Coconut Aloe Facial Mask: valued at $6.  (some boxes got the Milk and Honey mask, which is actually valued at $8).

So I paid $33 and got about $60.29 worth of product, and I know I'll have fun using everything!  I've already started working through the rose hand cream and the foot balm.  The stress roll on has a nice uplifting scent.  It's fun trying out products I've never heard of.
